It’s been almost 3 weeks since we launched the sales effort for my book and I’m thrilled with the early results and feedback. I thank all of you who have purchased the book and special thanks to those of you kind enough to send me a note or post a review on the Amazon site. If you read the book and feel inclined to post a review at Amazon I would appreciate it.
The launch party was a week ago tonight. Belated thanks to John and Debbie Bayliss of the Market Arms Pub in Ballard for giving us an awesome venue for the bash. Thanks also to the 150 or so of you who attended the party.
Here’s a great photo of my friend and editor Don Borst. Don was unable to make the party but he deserves a big “Scarves Up” for the passion and wisdom he brought to this project. We’ve been friends for 20 plus years so we were a little nervous about actually working together. But hiring him to edit the book was one of the best decisions I made this past summer. The fact that he doesn’t seem all that concerned about when he gets paid is a big plus, too.

While we’re handing out thanks a big kiss to my niece Lora. She worked the door at the legendary Backstage in Ballard for years and was nice enough to reprise that role for my party.
Last Friday (Oct 25th) I did my first private party at f5. They hold a regular event at f5 called “Beer Friday”. I suddenly want to work at f5.
We sold lots of books, drank some beer, and had a grand time. If your company would like to host me for a private book selling and signing party please contact me at gas@gasman206.com.
Then on Sunday before the match with the Galaxy we had a huge turnout for a selling and signing event at the stadium. We did 129 books in just under 90 minutes. My thanks to each and every one of you.
If the boys in Rave Green can take care of business against Colorado we’ll do another one this Saturday night.

DISTRIBUTION NEWS
Here’s how you can get the book. As of today (10/29) it is available in both Sounders FC Pro Shops (the stadium, and the downtown location at 410 Pike Street). It’s also still available on Amazon or through this website (look for the green “order your copy” link at the top right of this page). That link takes you to Create Space, my publishing company. You can order directly from them if you prefer that route.
